About LMBC
Mission Statement:
We believe that our sole purpose is to bring glory to God. To this end, we engage ourselves and other believers to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and might by growing in maturity and unity so that the world may believe God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to save sinners. We evangelize our community and the world at large; equip the believers; and utilize our spiritual gifts, talents, time, and financial resources for this purpose.
Church History:
The church was started as a missionary outreach in 1967 by the Summerton Baptist Church. The church was established to provide a place of worship and Christian education for a community of weekend fishermen and young families of the area. Since that time, we have developed into a community of retirees and outdoor recreationalists who enjoy fishing, boating, hunting, and golfing. Our church is faithful in attendance and in its belief in evangelism and support of missions.
The current Pastor has led the church for the last twenty years and has been dedicated to developing a church that is a model of the first century Acts church. Our doors are open to anybody and everybody.
Choir Information:
The focus of our choir is to lead the church in worship and the praise of our Savior. The music that we sing is a blend of traditional, southern gospel, and contemporary praise. We have several special vocal music groups that include a male trio and a mixed quintet. Throughout the year, we do a number of musical presentations, both during the worship hour and special evening services. Come and check us out!
